Production of electricity
The company is principally engaged in the production and transmission of electricity. It was incorporated in December 1998 and has its registered head office located in Las Palmas de Gran Canari, Spain. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Endesa Generacion S.A., a Spain-based private company that is principally engaged in the production and transmission of electricity and the provision of electric services. The company is ultimately owned by Endesa, S.A., a publicly quoted company which was formerly known as Empresa Nacional de Electricidad SA and is engaged in activities related to energy business, such as renewable energies, and cogeneration and distribution, and supply of natural gas. Endesa's electricity business is principally focused on Spain and Portugal, the Southern European region (including Italy and France) and Latin America.
